1. Who we are
ResolverBox ("ResolverBox", "we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered Etsy listing optimisation service. ResolverBox is the data controller for the personal data we collect about you in connection with the Service.
2. What data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, login credentials, account preferences.
- Content you provide — product images, notes, prompts, titles, and other inputs you submit to generate listings.
- Generated content — listings, titles, descriptions, tags, and related output we produce for you.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, listing counts, error logs, approximate location derived from IP.
- Device data — browser type, operating system, device identifiers, IP address.
- Support data — messages and information you share when contacting us.
- Billing data — collected and processed by our payment provider, Paddle. We receive limited information from Paddle (such as your subscription status, country, and order ID) but we do not store your full payment card details.
3. How we use your data
- Provide the Service — create and manage your account, generate listings, save your work (legal basis: performance of contract).
- Improve the Service — diagnose issues, analyse usage trends, develop new features (legitimate interests).
- Security & fraud prevention — detect abuse, protect users and our infrastructure (legitimate interests, legal obligation).
- Customer support — respond to your queries (performance of contract / legitimate interests).
- Service communications — important account, billing, and policy updates (performance of contract / legal obligation).
- Marketing — only where you have given consent or where allowed by law; you can opt out at any time.
- Legal compliance — to comply with applicable laws, regulators, or lawful requests.
4. Who we share data with
- Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, AI model providers, analytics, email delivery, customer support tooling, used solely to operate the Service.
- Paddle (Merchant of Record) — for processing your purchases, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and refund handling. Paddle is an independent controller for that purpose. See Paddle's privacy policy.
- Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants and similar advisers, where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and users' safety.
- Successors — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or adequacy decisions issued by the UK Government or European Commission.
6. How long we keep data
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to processing;
- request portability of data you provided to us;
- withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent);
- lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.
We will respond to verified requests within one month. To exercise your rights, contact us through the support channel inside ResolverBox.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege access — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to reduce risk.
9. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential — required to sign you in and keep the Service working.
- Analytics — to understand how the Service is used and improve it.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may break parts of the Service.
10. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact ResolverBox via the support channel inside the Service.
